Pilates Ring Workout

I’ve got a new pilates ring workout to share with you! Remember a few weeks ago, when I did a review on this pilates ring by Go Sport-It? When I said I liked it, I meant it, and I wanted to create a full workout for you using the ring. (You can buy the pilates ring here.)

This workout is about 33 minutes long, 26-ish of which are work with the ring, and another 7-ish are stretching. You’ll see that a lot of the moves come from yoga and pilates, and we use the ring to create more resistance or more body awareness.

The cool thing about a pilates ring workout is that you, the exerciser, have a lot of control over the intensity. You decide: squeeze the ring harder, work harder. Squeeze the ring less hard, work less hard. A lot of these exercises will still be effective even without the ring, so you could follow along without one to learn the moves until you get a pilates ring of your own. It’s a pretty handy tool to have around; if you do pilates regularly, you’ll find ways to incorporate it into that practice to increase the level of difficulty.
